Ladbrokes is one of the largest and most popular sportsbooks and racebooks online. An important part of that success are the promotional opportunities available to its customers. These promos include free bets as welcome bonuses, daily price boosts, early cash out options, and even a best odds guarantee.
Free Bet for New Members
Ladbrokes welcomes new members with a free bet worth as much as £50. Ladbrokes Sports will match your first sports bet and give it to you as a free bet coupon worth up to £50. This promotion is available to both online and mobile customers. To claim it, simply register a new account, and then enter the promo code BONUSBETS during the registration process.
Once your account is validated, make a deposit. The deposit minimum at Ladbrokes is £/€5 for most deposit methods. After making your deposit, visit the Free bets tab, in the My Account section.
At the bottom of the page, there is a prompt saying Enter your promotion code here: – at this prompt, enter the Promotion Code F50 to claim your free bet.
Once your deposit clears, then place a wager of at least £/€5. Win or lose, Ladbrokes will then provide you with a free bet voucher that has the same value as the bet you placed. Keep in mind that this free bet coupon is only valid for seven days, so after registering your account, you will have a week to make a deposit and place the bet.
You have a lot of options when it comes to placing your initial bet and your free bet. All sports, including horse racing and greyhounds, are valid. Nearly all wagers are eligible as long as the odds total ½ or are more than 0.7. If you place an each-way bet, only the win portion qualifies for the free bet. If your free bet wins, the stake isn’t return to you as it would be with a normal bet. However, any winnings from the free bet are available to you for immediate withdrawal. There aren’t any wagering requirements beyond the initial bet.
Daily Price Boosts
A price boost is a Ladbrokes bonus that’s available to new and established clients alike. There are usually new boosts available each day. Bets affected by a boost will be indicated in the listings, or you can visit Ladbrokes’ dedicated Price Boost page where you can see all boosts available that day. Taking advantage of a boost usually requires a wager of at least £10 per bet. Once you claim the boost, then it’s simply a matter of winning the bet. If the bet loses, nothing different happens. If the bet wins, you get the stake, the normal winnings for the wager plus whatever the value of the boost is.
Here are examples of some recent price boosts:
Boosts are typically limited to win bets, and the wager must be a single bet meaning that you can’t combine bets, such as parlay. Boosts are likeliest for popular sports, such as football and American football, and boosts are more common on matches that are expected to receive a lot of action. A nice aspect of boosts is that there are no strings attached. The additional money from a boost is treated just like winnings. There are no wagering requirements, and you can do with the money as you please.
Cash Out is a Ladbrokes Sports feature that lets you cash out a bet prior to the bet closing. For instance, if you picked Manchester United over Liverpool, and United is up 2-1 with 10 minutes left in the match, you could cash out on the bet right then at a reduced payout. This feature is available through the mobile app as well as the website. It’s generally limited to single bets and single-line multiple bets, and full-cover bets are excluded.
In order to prevent abuse of this mechanism, Ladbrokes prohibits the Cash Out feature on any bets made with non-withdrawable funds, which includes free bets and other promotional bets. Additionally, Cash Out isn’t available on any bet that can trigger a free bet. That means that if you used F50 to claim the free welcome bet, you couldn’t cash out on that initial wager. Cash Out is also not guaranteed. It’s available for most eligible bets, and Ladbrokes never removes the option once a match has started. However, Ladbrokes recommends not making a bet with the intention of cashing out, which protects them from refund requests due to the Cash Out feature not being available to a bettor. There’s a chance that any cash out is rejected. This is uncommon, and Ladbrokes will provide full details of why it was.
Best Odds Guarantee
Ladbrokes provides a guarantee that ensures you get the best odds possible on all horse racing and greyhound bets. This protection extends to website and mobile bets but not to bets made via telephone or in-shop. Additionally, it doesn’t extend to match, place only, ante-post and tote/pools bets. How the protection works is that you get the most favorable payout available from the time you place your bet to the time the gate opens. In other words, you could pick your Kentucky Derby winner a week out or more and now have to worry about better odds or a possible Ladbrokes Price Boost.
Better yet, Ladbrokes does more than pay you based on the best starting price. It boosts it. In other words, if you bet on a horse to win at 3/1 and it wins with an SP of 7/2, then Ladbrokes will boost that payout, which in this case would mean 4/1. Note that this protection is limited to bets with a stake of £/€200. So if you place a horse or greyhound bet larger than £/€200, do so knowing that you forfeit the best odds protection. Rule 4 deductions and dead heats are resolved in the usual way. Also note that there’s a significant difference with greyhounds in that bets must be placed the day of the race in order to receive the protection.
